The District of Muskoka is accepting applications for passionate and dedicated community members to fill vacancies on the Public Liaison Committee (PLC) for the Rosewarne Landfill, the only active landfill in Muskoka.
It is essential we work together to reduce waste, divert material properly, and optimize operations to make the best use of every inch of space, and to make the Rosewarne Landfill last as long as possible.
Are you someone who cares deeply about their community and wants to make a positive impact on the environment? Do you have a passion for sustainable waste management and want to represent the broader public on issues related to landfills and waste management? If so, we invite you to learn more and apply to the Committee to join the Rosewarne PLC.

It was established to serve as a focal point for dissemination, consultation, review and exchange of information regarding the operation of the Rosewarne Landfill Site (Bracebridge), including environmental monitoring, maintenance, complaint resolution and new approvals or amendments to existing approvals related to the operation of the landfill site.
Terms of Reference have been approved by the Engineering and Public Works Committee to ensure open communication and assist in maintaining high standards for the operation of the Landfill and the protection of the natural environment.
