As we work together to reach our diversion targets, beginning on March 1, 2023, residents can deliver one clear bag of diapers or incontinence products per week at no charge to any transfer station. |
Bag tag bundles |
Beginning on March 1, 2023, residents can purchase bag tags at a discounted price when purchased in bulk – five tags for $35 - from any transfer station. |
Long weekend curbside collection |
Curbside residents can set out one extra standard-size garbage bag for curbside collection on your regular collection day the week of Victoria Day, Canada Day, the Civic holiday, and Labour Day long weekends. |
Leaf and yard waste collection |
Curbside leaf and yard waste collection is available to urban area residents who receive green bin service on scheduled dates in the spring and fall. Good, used furniture can be donated, sold, or repurposed. For end of life furniture, a disposal fee applies, items must be delivered to any Waste Facility. |

Scrap metal is accepted at no charge at any waste facility. |

Fridges and freezers (freon units) | ||
Freon removal is required; a fee applies if it's not removed. Items must be delivered to any waste facility. | ||
Clean shingle program | ||
The District has a clean shingle diversion program at the Rosewarne (Bracebridge) Landfill and offers a reduced rate for clean shingles.

Masks and gloves (used) | ||
These items belong in the garbage. Please make sure your bag is securely tied shut. |
