Collection Impacts and Delays

The Downtown Business Area Collection route in Gravenhurst scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3 has been cancelled. Please keep your materials inside and avoid placing them at the curb to limit interference with critical snow clearing operations.

We anticipate collection delays on Tuesday, Dec. 3. More information will be shared as soon as it's available.

Residents with cancelled Monday collection, that were scheduled for bi-weekly garbage, have two options for managing their garbage:

1. Hold until your next scheduled garbage collection day – Dec. 16, 2024. You will be allowed to put out double your limit to reflect the missed collection (4 garbage bags); or
2. Take your garbage for drop-off at the Rosewarne Transfer (or Beiers Transfer Station once open) when safe to do so.

Residents with cancelled Monday collection, that were not scheduled for bi-weekly garbage, are to manage their waste as follows:

1. Place your material (garbage, recycling and green bin) for set-out as usual on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.

Businesses with cancelled collection as part of the Downtown Business Collection Area routes are to manage their waste as follows:

1. Place out additional tagged garbage bags (maximum 10) on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. As a reminder, only tagged garbage bags will be collected.
2. Place out additional recycling on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. The recycling limits will be doubled (8 blue boxes) to reflect the missed collection.

Gravenhurst businesses with cancelled collection as part of the Downtown Business Collection Area routes are to manage their waste as follows:
