Week of June 17, 2024 - Heat Warning in effect for Muskoka. Delays may be experienced as crews tackle the heat. Please leave material at the curb until 7pm, as routes may take longer than normal to complete.

Intense Heat - Summer Update
During Muskoka heatwaves and when temperatures rise quickly, waste collection crews take extra precautions to stay safe and hydrated.
- Crews may start collections at 6:00 a.m. to avoid peak temperatures when heat warnings are in effect.
- Please set out your waste by 6:00 a.m. to assist crews in starting their day early.
Reminder: If you can't set your waste out by 6:00 a.m., it will still be collected if set out by the regular time of 7:00 a.m. This helps crews get some of the heavy lifting done early, when it's not so hot in the afternoon.
