On June 14, 2019, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) formally directed the District to remove/decommission all unlicensed bin sites.

Local charities accept donations of appliances, clothing, new and gently-used home furnishings, and renovation items. Visit our Donate Reusable Items page to learn what and where you can donate.
Election sign recycling

Recycle your election signs

Please remove all wooden and metal stands or posts prior to recycling.

  • Paper signs can be broken down to 80cmx80cmx20cm and be recycled at the curb or transfer stations.
  • Plastic film and bag signs can be bagged with other plastic bags and recycled at the curb or transfer stations.
  • Firm plastic and chloroplast signs must be brought to either the Rosewarne, Beiers, or Eveleigh transfer station for recycling.
