Standing Committees
Four main Standing Committees set direction and oversee the functions of the District's corporate responsibilities:
- Community and Planning Services Committee
- Engineering and Public Works Committee
- Finance and Corporate Services Committee
- Health Services Committee
Committee membership consists of one District Councillor representing each Area Municipality and the District Chair.
Other Committees and Task Forces
Ad hoc or sub-committees are appointed from time to time to undertake certain programs or initiatives. The following Sub or Ad hoc Committees are currently active:
District Council also initiates task forces to address specific matters of importance to the public. The following Task Forces are currently active:
- Muskoka Housing Task Force
- Muskoka Economic Recovery Task Force
