The Clear Bag Program keeps food waste and hazardous items out of garbage, protecting Muskoka’s environment and extending the life of the Rosewarne Landfill.
MUSKOKA, Ont. (Nov. 12, 2025) – Starting January 2, 2026, residents and businesses across Muskoka will be required to use clear, colourless garbage bags at all District Waste Facilities to be considered as part of the weekly allowance. The District of Muskoka, has partnered with Lakeland EV Charging whohas secured funding through the Provincial ChargeOn Grant. This initiative has enabled the installation of 4, Level 2 chargers at 98 Pine St, Bracebridge, Ontario.
