April 22, 2022 (Bracebridge, ON) – Local artist Kimberly Rideout Chivers revealed a very special new mural at the Pine Long-Term Care home this week. Kimberly had announced earlier this year that she was looking to donate a mural as a way to pay it forward and thank the community that supported her during a health crisis. Her social media posts asked for suggestions from the community as to where the mural should go, and the Pines Long Term Care Home was the most popular suggestion.

March 22, 2022 (Bracebridge, ON) - In 2019, two District staff members, Shawn and Leanna Kerswell, and their family experienced a terrible tragedy when their son, Alex, died by suicide. He was a young man experiencing mental health issues, and their family could not access the help they needed. Leanna and Shawn (and their son Chris) want to ensure that Alex is never forgotten.
Since this tragedy, staff at the District have wanted to do something to support the Kerswells to honour his memory....

No Time To Waste - Taking Action on Garbage, Muskoka’s Roadmap to 60% Waste Diversion

(Feb. 25, 2022 – Bracebridge, ON) -- District Council has approved a $84 million tax-supported operating budget for 2022, where an average resident will see an overall 2.27% tax increase in the District portion of their municipal property taxes in 2022.
