March 1, 2021 (Muskoka, ON) - Reduced load restrictions of 5 tonnes per axle will take effect on many District roads beginning March 15, 2021.
Roads are their most vulnerable in the spring as frost leaves the ground. Load restrictions help extend the lifespan of the road surface by minimizing damage from heavy vehicles. Road conditions will be continually monitored and the restriction will be lifted when road conditions will allow.
