Downtown Huntsville Intersection Investigations on Monday, March 7, 2022
March 4, 2022 (Huntsville, ON) – Utility inspections and investigations will occur on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Main Street and Centre Street intersection. The District, Town of Huntsville and its partners can complete this work with no road closure. However – lane restrictions will be required to maintain the safety for crews and the public. Motorists can expect to experience delays, especially during the morning commute.
On Monday, the Main Street and Centre Street intersection will be activated as a 4-way stop with red-flashing lights from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic to manage congestion.
Pedestrian access will continue to be available, and flaggers will ensure our students and community can cross safely.
These inspections are critical to protecting essential utility connections – this work has been planned as part of the Diggin’ Downtown project, so that businesses and area residents do not experience connectivity issues, disruptions or outages.
