The Corridor 11 Bus operates in partnership with Hammond Transportation, and is significantly funded by the Government of Ontario through the Community Transportation Grant and Gas Tax Program.

We are pilot testing this new schedule and would appreciate your feedback! Please call 705-645-2100 ext. 4419 or send an email to the Muskoka Transportation Network Coordinator with any comments you’d like to share.

Please note, the listed times are subject to vary due to weather, construction and traffic conditions. For this reason, we recommend you arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of the scheduled stop time to wait for the bus.

Tickets may be purchased directly from the driver or seats can be booked ahead of time by calling Hammond Transportation at (705) 645-5431. 

Children 12 years of age and under are half price.

Round Trip Passes:

  • Round trip fares are only available for trips made on the same day.
  • Passes may be purchased from the driver. 
  • Passes are are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

 Low-Income Transit Passes

Do you want to use transit but have trouble paying fares? You may be eligible to access the District’s Free Transit Pass Program. The District transit pass is valid for use on the Corridor 11. Note: The District Transit Pass is not valid on the Bracebridge Wave or Huntsville Transit.

To qualify for a Free Annual Transit Pass, you must:

  • Be a resident of the District of Muskoka.
  • Be "Low Income" as defined by the Federal Low Income Measure.

If you think you may qualify, you can fill out this short application, or contact Adele Gant, Muskoka Transportation Network Transportation Coordinator, at 705-645-2100 Ext. 4419 for support. 

COVID-19 Safety Measures on the Corridor 11 Bus 

Stay up to date with the latest health information via the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

  • Masks are optional but welcome on transit. Riders are encouraged to respect their fellow riders' personal choices.

Other reminders when riding the Corridor 11 Bus:

  • don’t ride the bus if you aren’t feeling well or have symptoms of COVID-19.
  • do practice social-distancing by sitting as far apart as possible from other riders 
  • do use hand sanitizer provided when boarding and exiting the bus.
  • do cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze using the crook of your elbow or a tissue and use hand sanitizer immediately afterwards.
  • do avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Accessibility

The Corridor 11 bus is a wheelchair accessible vehicle with a lift in the rear of the bus. There is space for two wheelchairs to be safely secured. Any rider who is unable to climb stairs can ask the driver to use the lift.

 

If you need to a support person with you to travel, they can ride with you for free. Ahead of your trip, please contact 

Adele Gant, Muskoka Transportation Network Coordinator, at adele.gant@muskoka.on.ca or 705-645-2100 ext. 4419, so that we may alert the driver.

 

We welcome service animals that assist riders with physical, mental and/or sensory disabilities when travelling on transit. As per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, we encourage riders to travel with documentation supporting their needs in the event it is required. 

Inclement Weather and Bus Delays 

Sometimes the Corridor 11 Bus experiences delays, usually (but not always) due to bad weather. If there is inclement weather occurring, or if you are waiting for the bus and it hasn’t shown up, you may contact Hammond Transportation at 705-645-5431 to inquire about the bus status. The dispatcher has the most up to date information on delays and schedule changes.
