The Water and Wastewater division undertakes all in-house testing; however, all regulatory testing is carried out by independent accredited laboratories.
As required by regulation, all testing for bacteria in drinking water is performed by an accredited private laboratory. All water sampling, testing and reporting is carried out in strict compliance with the requirements of Ontario's Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002, Regulation 170/03.
More information regarding Safe Drinking Water is available through the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change.
