Below you will find local food and community support programs in Muskoka to support you and your families during the COVID-19 pandemic.  If you know someone who could use some help connecting to supports and resources related to COVID-19, please share this web page with them. Ontario Community Support Program(OSCA):

OCSA is working with Meals on Wheels organizations and other partners across the province to deliver services to vulnerable seniors without family or community support. OCSA helps isolated, low-income seniors and people with disabilities and chronic medical conditions across Ontario get meals, groceries, medicine and other essentials to stay safe at home during COVID-19. Access delivery services in your area by visiting www.ontariocommunitysupport.ca

Those without internet access, or who require service in a language other than English or French, can contact 211 at any time by dialing 211, 1-877-330-3213 (toll free) or 1-888-340-1001 for TTY service.

Town of Bracebridge
  • Manna Food Bank – 345 Ecclestone Drive. Open Tuesday and Friday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Bringing orders outside for pick up. Offering deliveries.  Cannot accept reusable bags and people should dress for outside weather. Phone: (705) 646-0114
  • Salvation Army - 456 Manitoba Street, Bracebridge Open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 1:00 - 4:30 pm. Food bank remains open, however there is no waiting room area so clients need to call and book appointments so that clients can be seen one at a time.Phone: 705-645-2602..
  • Bracebridge Out of the Cold - COVID-19 Response Starting Sep 16, 2020, Bracebridge Out of The Cold will be offering weekly take away dinners * Place an order by calling the Salvation Army at 705-645-2602 by Mon 12 noon * Pick up Wed 5 pm at Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion St

    The in-person community meals and drop-in program are suspended until further notice

  • Your Independent Grocers (YIGs) - Curbside pick up orders can be placed at pcexpress.ca or via the PC Express app. Deliveries can be arranged with a volunteer at the Rotary Club. For residents who are currently quarantining due to illness, orders can be placed over the phone. Payment is made over the phone and YIGS will arrange for a volunteer from Rotary Club to deliver. People delivering the products would ring the door bell and groceries would be left at the door step with no interaction with volunteers. Residents under quarantine requiring groceries can call 705-646-1412, ext. 302 to place phone orders
  • Frozen Meals on Wheels (Red Cross) – Registration required. Please call 705-721-3313 ext. 5267 to place an order.
  • Hot Meals on Wheels (Red Cross) - Delivered Monday through Friday, between 11:30am to 1:30pm from Muskoka Algonquin Health Centre. The meals are prepared fresh daily which ensures a quality meal. To place an order or for more information, call 705-721-3313 x 5267 or visit www.redcross.ca.
Town of Gravenhurst
  • Salvation Army - 620 Muskoka Rd N, Gravenhurst Open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1:00 - 4:30 pm. Food bank remains open, however there is no waiting room area so clients need to call and book appointments so that we see one client at a time. Phone: 705-687-2131.
  • GAP (Gravenhurst Against Poverty) – Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the church is closed to the public but The Supper Club is still available for delivery the frozen meal is donated by the Red Cross it also comes with extra veggies & fruit. Family Connexions and Kids Help Phone

Family Connexions is committed to working collaboratively to build a safe and strong community where children, youth and families thrive. Front Line Workers - Ontario Based Mental Support

The Canadian Psychological Association provides a contact list of licensed therapists who have volunteered to provide pro bono support during COVID-19. 

 

CAMH provides a resource page for healthcare workers who have been impacted by COVID-19 as well as a self-referral form. 

 

The Ontario Hospital Association has a list of free resources for frontline healthcare workers.

Muskoka Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services (MPSSAS)
  • Staff are scheduling individual counselling appointments online or by phone. 
  • All of our Group Programming and Drop In Programming are also running Virtually.  
  • MPSSAS can presently assist folks who need access to both, through a limited number of loaner laptops.. 
  • Community based public education sessions offered via MPSSAS zoom program to Community Groups, Schools, etc. upon request.
  • MPSSAS can assist with reports of past or recent sexual abuse violence to the Police in a trauma informed manner should that be the choice of the survivor.
