Candidate Information Packages are available for individuals interested in running for the position of District Chair. The District Chair will be elected by the newly formed Muskoka District Council at its Inaugural meeting to be held on Monday December 5, 2022. The Information Package for the Office of the District Chair, includes all required nomination papers.
Interested candidates MUST make an appointment with the Clerk's department to formally submit their papers. Please contact Amy Back, District Clerk at amy.back@muskoka.on.ca or 705-645-2100 x4253 to set up an appointment. Nominations close on November 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

In the event that there are two or more candidates for the Office of District Chair, a formal Meet the Candidates / Debate Event shall take place at the end of November (stay tuned for details).
Members of the public, including Councillors-elect are encouraged to submit questions that may be considered during the event. The Moderator for the event will be selecting the questions from those submitted. Stay tuned for more details, once determined that the event is required.
