Fall Leaf and Yard Waste Collection
The next leaf and yard waste collection day for residential households in the green bin service area, is Saturday, November 7, 2020 beginning at 8 am.
We compost in Muskoka.
After scheduled collection occurs on Saturday, November 7, 2020, the District reminds residents that leaves are not collected at the curb as part of curbside garbage limits.
Making sure leaf and yard waste material doesn’t enter the garbage is an important part of the District of Muskoka’s waste management strategy to extend the life of our Rosewarne Landfill. Here are some easy ways to getting rid of leaves and yard waste this season:
As the District continues to support our community as we monitor COVID-19, we strongly encourage residents to apply the same public health measures at our waste facilities as they would when using other services during the pandemic, such as physical distancing, adhering to onsite signage and washing your hands often.
