Administration Building - Office Hours 17/05/2013 Commencing Tuesday, May 21, 2013 (through Friday, August 30, 2013 inclusive) office hours at the District Administration Building will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Waste Mangement Victoria Day 07/05/2013 Victoria Day is Monday, May 20, 2013. Please note, there are NO CHANGES in the curbside collection schedule. Landfill and Transfer Stations will observe their regular holiday Monday hours.   Weekly Garbage Collection Resumes 02/04/2013 Weekly garbage collections resumes Monday,May 6, 2013.

Committee Membership

The responsibilities of The District Municipality of Muskoka fall into four general groupings: 

• Community Services;
• Engineering & Public Works;
• Planning and Economic Development;
• General Government.

The majority of the functions are undertaken by four main Standing Committees: 

• Community Services;
• Engineering & Public Works;
• Planning and Economic Development;
• Corporate & Emergency Services.

Committee membership generally consists of a District Councillor representing each Area Municipality and the District Chair.  Ad-hoc or sub-committees are appointed from time to time to undertake certain programs or initiatives.  The following sub or adhoc committees are currently active:

• Accessibility Advisory Committee 
• Muskoka Airport Advisory Committee
• Muskoka Attainable Housing Advisory Table (MAHAT)
• Services Review Steering Committee
• Solid Waste Financial Review Committee
