District Chair - John Klinck

The head of Muskoka District Council is the District Chair, John Klinck. Chair Klinck was elected at Muskoka District Council's Inaugural meeting held December 13, 2010 for the 2010-2014 term of Council.

The duties of the District Chair are:

• Serve as the head of District Council and as Chief Executive Officer of the District Municipality.
• Provide overall leadership to the affairs of Council and its Committees.
• Act as spokesperson for the District Municipality on major issues of policy and direction.
• Manage the District’s external relationships with other organizations and levels of government.
