Affordable Housing Program Locations
Each of the buildings in the Affordable Housing Program have received Federal, Provincial and Municipal grants to offset the cost of capital construction, under the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program and The District Municipality of Muskoka's Development Charges By-Law (2009-44).
In exchange, owners must rent units to the public at rental rates set at least 20% below the average market rent for the area.
Applicants hoping to move in must be income tested. Household incomes must be at or below the following levels (the total amounts noted on Line 150 of all adult household members' Income Tax Assessment Notice for the most recent taxation year).
One Bedroom - $29,700
These income limits may be higher if a member or members of the household have a disability which could reasonably result in additional expenses to the household.
Applications must be made directly to the Providers.
