The District Municipality of Muskoka assumed the responsibility of waste management on January 1, 1996. Our facilities include
three landfill sites, seven transfer stations, several waste depots and bin sites.

We are pleased to offer curbside collection of household garbage and blue box recycling to a vast area of Muskoka.

Green Bin (compost) collection is available to the urban areas of Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Huntsville, and most recently, has been expanded to the urban areas of Port Sydney/Utterson, Port Carling, Bala, MacTier, Port Severn and Honey Harbour.
