Garbage and Recycling

The District Municipality of Muskoka assumed the responsibility of waste management on January 1, 1996. Our facilities include three landfill sites, seven transfer stations, several waste depots and bin sites.

We are pleased to offer curb-side collection of household garbage and recycling to a vast area of Muskoka. Our new Kitchen Organics collection is currently being offered to the urban core of Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Huntsville.

Don't forget to visit our household hazardous waste depots and our electronic waste depots offered at various sites throughout the year.

Please remember that all waste generated in Muskoka stays in Muskoka...
