The Pines Support Committee encourages charitable donations to enrich the lives of the residents who make The Pines their home.

- Your generosity will help in optimizing the life of our residents who make the Pines their home.
- Input is received by The Pines Support Committee members from the management team, staff, family and friends to identify and prioritize the needs of the residents.
- For further information on ways to help optimize life such as in memoriam gifts, planned gifts, general gifts and estate planning, please contact us at 705-645-4488.
- A donation of $1,000 or more will be recognized on the Recognition Sculpture located in the front lobby at The Pines. An income tax receipt is issued to all donors.
- Charitable donations help t enrich the lives of residents. We encourage you to make a special gift to The Pines.

Ways to Support
All gifts of The Pines Support Committee Fund are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. We like to recognize your contribution in helping to Optimize Life for our residents and support our programs and services.

The Pines Community Support Committee will make recommendations to the District Municipality of Muskoka on how funds raised should be allocated. Input is received by Committee members from The Pines Management Team, staff and family and friends of The Pines to identify and to prioritize the needs of The Pines residents. The Pines is committed to delivering excellence in care and services for our residents. Your generosity will help in optimizing the life of our seniors who make The Pines their home.

In Memoriam
Gifts in memory of a deceased loved one or friend are a wonderful way to recognize and remember someone while at the same time supporting The Pines.
Donation Form
In Honour
Recognize a Birthday, Anniversary, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or special holiday by making a gift in homour of yourself, your family, business or loved one to The Pines Support Committee Fund.

Planned Gifts
Our donors believe that seniors in our community deserve to be cared for with dignity and respect by professionally trained staff in a safe, homelike environment. By remembering The Pines Support Committee Fund in your estate and / or financial plans, you will be helping to optimize the lives of residents of The Pines as well as receiving a tax donation receipt.
The types of Planned Gifts include the following: Bequests under a Will, Endowments / Legacies, Insurance Policies, Charitable Gift Annuities, Gifts in Kind such as stocks, bonds or real property.
Types of Planned Gifts
The following information is general in nature and is meant to provide a brief overview of giving options. We encourage you to consult your own legal and financial counsel in the development of your own financial or estate plan.
Bequests
Making a specific gift to a charity can be done through your will, or can be done by writing an amendment called a Codicil to your existing will, specifying either a percentage or specific dollar amount. You can bequest a portion of your estate and still provide for your family and loved ones.
Endowments
As a donor you may be interested in establishing an endowment fund so that the gift that you contribute remains intact as a lasting legacy. You can designate the income produced by investing the endowment to support a specific program at The Pines. This fund may be named in honour or in tribute of yourself, your family or business or a loved one.
Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance allows you to make a substantial gift to the Fund in the future by paying a relatively low premium payment today. New and exiting policies can be transferred to The Pines.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A gift annuity produces guaranteed payments for you for a lifetime. A portion of the sum you contribute will immediately support the Fund.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
You can make a gift of investments without forfeiting the income produced from those investments by setting up a charitable trust.
Donation Form
Gifts in Kind
These are donations that have tangible dollar value, for example real estate, stocks, bonds, equipment or art. When a Gift in Kind is accepted by The Fund, the fair market value of the gift is assessed by a qualified party. Based on this evaluation, the donor receives a charitable income tax receipt for the appraised value of the asset.
