The Human Resources Department provides professional human resource services to District employees, departments, committees, council and local municipalities.

Services include employee and labour relations, employee compensation and benefits, health, safety and wellness, policy and procedure development and administration, employee file maintenance, recruitment/staffing and all related programs.

The department is also responsible for compliance under various legislation and policies which include but are not limited to the Employment Standards Act, The Labour Relations Act, The Ontario Human Rights Code, The Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Pay Equity Legislation and District Policies and Procedures.
